Romantic cruises and proposals by private boat
How much does a romantic boat tour in Amsterdam cost?
€495 for two hours, for the whole boat. The cruise is paid in advance. Extras such as flowers or drinks from the bar are settled on board.
Can you help me plan a proposal on a boat in Amsterdam?
Yes. Tell us your date and your wishes, and we plan it with you: the route, the timing, flowers, champagne and a quiet spot on the canal. Your partner only needs to step aboard.
Will my partner find out?
Not from us. We only ever contact you, by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the confirmation goes to your email address alone.
Can a photographer come along?
Yes, on request. We arrange a photographer who captures the moment discreetly, from on board or from the canal side. Let us know when you make your request.
When is the most romantic time to go?
Sunset and the evening, when the bridges are lit. In winter it is dark from around five, in summer the sun sets after nine. From late November to mid January, the Amsterdam Light Festival adds illuminated artworks along the canals.
Will we be warm on board?
Yes. The cabin is enclosed and heated, and the boat can be fully covered. Prefer the open air? Blankets are on board.
Where does the cruise depart?
From our own harbour at the Apollo Hotel, Apollolaan 2, with parking included. We can also collect you at your hotel or elsewhere in the city, from €50 depending on the distance.
Can we bring our own champagne?
You are welcome to. We charge €50 corkage per bottle. Our bar on board also serves Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Prosecco and wine.
Can family or friends join after the proposal?
Of course, up to 10 guests in total. Some couples have family or friends waiting at a second stop to celebrate together. Tell us, and we plan it in.
What if it rains?
The cruise goes ahead. With the cabin closed and heated you stay dry and warm, and the canals are beautiful on a wet evening. Should we ever need to cancel for the weather, you receive a full refund or credit.
