Your skipper meets you at your hotel, along the canal or at a private dock. In winter the trees are bare and the canal houses stand in full view. The water is quiet and the light is soft. Settle into the warm cabin and watch the city drift by.

Venice pairs the lacquered wood of a 1971 Venetian water taxi with the latest technology. A silent electric motor and a heated cabin keep you comfortable. Stay cosy inside, or sit outside with a blanket over your knees and feel the crisp winter air. On request we add the front and rear covers, so the whole boat is sheltered.

Every evening from Thursday 26 November 2026 to Sunday 17 January 2027, the Amsterdam Light Festival turns the city centre into an open-air gallery. Artists from around the world create new light artworks each year. Your skipper takes you from piece to piece, and lingers wherever you wish.

Choose a time that suits you, by day or by evening. When your cruise feels complete, we bring you back to the canal side or your hotel.

Is it warm enough on the water in winter?
Yes. The cabin is always enclosed and heated, and on request we add the front and rear covers so the whole boat is sheltered. Prefer to sit outside? We provide blankets.
Do you also sail during the day?
Yes. We sail by day and by evening throughout the winter, at a time that suits you.
Will we see the Light Festival artworks?
Yes, on an evening cruise. The artworks are lit every evening from 16:30 to 23:00, from Thursday 26 November 2026 to Sunday 17 January 2027. Your skipper sails past them at your pace.
How many guests can join?
Venice welcomes up to 12 guests. Every cruise is entirely private.
